in the general appearance of the Redwood tree as compared to the Sequoia.
The Redwood is considerably thinner, whilst the Sequoia is...well...the Sequoia!
Key differences:
Both are conifers, but they differ significantly in habitat and shape. Redwoods are the tallest, but Sequoias are massive. Redwoods are found near the foggy coast, with thinner trunks, while Sequoias (Giant Sequoias) are the world's largest by volume, found inland in the Sierra Nevada mountains, with massively wide trunks, thicker bark, and scale-like leaves. They thrive in dryer, higher-elevation areas.
