Real wood! We use Port Orford Cedar for our 5/16" and larger diameter logs, and bamboo for the 3/16" diameter logs. Escribed bark detail, boil-dyed and oven-dried. Cut 'em with our chainsaws and/or dragsaws. They are available in bare metal and painted versions. Need big logs? We have those too, up to 36 inches long and 4 inches diameter. Made in Oregon, USA.
