This project was commissioned by the Cape Blanco Heritage Society to help visitors to the Cape Blanco Lightstation learn about the structures and geographical interactions that existed for lighthouse keepers and their assistants circa 1913. Several important structures were present at that time that no longer exist. The lighthouse remains in the same location. All of these features can be seen in the diorama, with the features of those structures at the time preserved in great detail in the models. Additionally, documents were utilized to determine the precise distances between the lighthouse and the living quarters, and perimeter fencing. Elevations were also considered, though this area is a relatively flat area located at the tip of Cape Blanco, Oregon. Diorama construction by Roger Rasmussen and Hattie Kugler. Lighthouse 3D drafting by Patricia Flagg. Cabinetry by Tilley Cabinetry.
