I call this snag tree the "spaghetti" snag for obvious reasons. Just look at that branch that almost does a full circle! Sadly this one finally fell over after I checked on it for several years. Our Elk River has an abundance of snag, aka "ghost" trees for ideas. Making snags is no small task, but you can get info on that with our video on how to do one. The way we do them in house is to use molten tree sap and beeswax to get them started. Drilling holes in the trunk is often the best way at home. Wire is yet another option. We have a Snag Trees Kit, of course, but alas, the holes are not drilled for you. They should be. We had a machine that did it, and I want it back!!! ;)
